We decided to pop in here on the way thru to Adelaide today. Very cute lil Cafe. Love our down to earth Aussie customer service we have in Australia, great to see from the staff. Food was delicious as everyone described it would be. Massive portion sizes, pretty presentation done by the chef at the front. Definitely makes a big difference walking into businesses and being welcomed by ALL STAFF and farewelled. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a true blue bite to eat at this Cafe. Only thing is I wish we could pay after our meal because we definitely would’ve left a tip.
This was my first stop when I arrived in town after so many people had recommended Melzar as the place for brunch. It lived up to its expectations! The Benedict with crispy pork was sensational and I totally cleaned the plate. Friendly service and great coffee
Great breakfast spot! The food was really good, service was quick and efficient and I really don't have anything to say other than that I'd be back if we lived locally. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my wife ordered the big breakfast which I had to help her finish. Everything was great, but the only constructive criticism I'd offer is the pancakes were extremely dry and it seemed as though there was an ingredient missing. Everything else was so good I'm going to completely overlook that, but if someone only ordered the pancakes, they might be disappointed.
Came to melzar as a quick stop to grab a bite and grabbed the avo chicken Toastie as well as the breakfast burrito the chicken avo was perfectly balanced and creamy avocado with chicken to die for on a bed of golden toast. The breakfast burrito was huge with crunchy hash browns and saucy filling and crispy back with fluffy eggs. the staff are very attentive checking in to see if you need anything while eating 10/10 would recommend and we will be coming back again
Just delicious. Great food paired, cooked and served really well. So many tasty options on the menu it was hard to choose. Many Vegan, Vego, Dairy & Gluten free options clearly marked. Lovely coffee to top it off. Friendly & attentive staff, good inside & outside table options. Highly recommended. Me and my friend were both ordered corn jack stack and we loved it. 😍 The avocado and rocket are so fresh, with sweet corn inside. Also, it's a great vegetable combination meal. The cafe in the morning was quite busy, and all the staff were friendly. Highly recommend trying it in Town.
Great place that we found by accident, other places were closed. My breakfast was better than expected, check out the work of art in the photo. Will check out next time we’re here. Coffee perfect too.

What an incredible breakfast experience at Cafe Melzar! I started with the most amazing iced coffee and a delicious mixed berry smoothie—both absolutely perfect. For breakfast, I had poached eggs served on tender pulled pork and sweet potato hash, topped with fresh spinach and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Every bite was bursting with flavour and beautifully balanced. My husband chose two perfectly poached eggs on sourdough with bacon and the most incredible herbed tomatoes we’ve ever tasted. Honestly, those tomatoes deserve a special mention—they were unforgettable! From the quality of the ingredients to the presentation and flavour combinations, this was one of the most divine breakfasts I’ve ever had. The food was exceptional, and the whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back and do it all again. Highly recommended!
